    • Pardon my ignorance, but what makes this a golden cross and what is a golden cross? I do see a potential falling wedge patter, but I am not really a chartist.

    • I hope you are right. Back in mid April, I unfortunately invested alot of money in SLW when it was 16.61 then 2 weeks later it CRASHES over 20%!!! I'm still in shock over it! I have been holding it for about 6 weeks now and my losses are over 5 grand! Grrrrrrr..... What upset me the worst was when I bought it gold was 920. Then last week when gold reached 920 again 6 weeks later, SLW was only 15.20, not even close if the price rides along with gold. It's so aggravating waiting for it to go back up and by the time if it reeaches 16.61 gold will be over 1,000 then! I'm not taking a loss on it but this stock hasn't been this low since September of 2007. I can't wait to sell it when it reaches 16.61 again. What happened to this stock? Why is it so flat? I have seen it go down when the dollar was falling! This is crazy. Yesterday up 60 cents, today down 60 cents. What gives?? Thanks for your reply..........

      • Seems like you're a new investor into silver and gold market. We're in the correction phase and typically it lasts through August. If you're nervous about some small unrealized 5k loss then go and sell some covered july 17.50 call options. That way you can have a chance of getting out if slw moves to those level with a profit but if it doesn't at least you gain the premium however small over the next 2 months which will in theory bring down your initial investment purchase. Right now july slw 17.50 call options go for 20 cents. Otherwise sit back and don't look at the screen until end of August, after the Olympics. One other thing to remember stock market is a gamble, physical gold and silver may move higher but if the markets are crashing PM stocks will be crashed initially as well.

This type of swings in PM market have been happening for at least the last 5 years that I've been into PMs so don't sweat it, gold will see 1000 again but IMO after the Olympics.
