    Crash Today?

A close today beneath DOW 10,568 will confirm the start of the crash; we have already met the stopping range of 10,725-10,740. NAZ would have to close below 2269 today for confirmation, with next short term target 2211.

The DOW is very close, but the NAZ has got a ways to go to "confirm" any decline today.

    • maclover,

I hope you're doing well my friend.

      Thanks for that post.

It made me think, and choose to get flat on something I own related to the TSX comp (Canada's equivalent of the DOW).

As a side note, just like the DOW Indu's have been the barometer of the markets all these many decades because of the USA's financial and economic dominance.

So too, do I believe, Canada's TSX Composite index will assume the mantle from DOW as "the" world market indicator because: (1) Canada's banking system has been voted the soundest banking system in the world, as voted by the World Economic Forum (2) Canada's banks have been voted by Moody's the top banks in the world, out of 95 countries (3)Over 70% of its components are commodity weighted and the country having the greatest commodity resources will win out over the coming decades (4)Most americans don't know, the USA gets more oil from Canada than Saudi Arabia and Canada's oil resources are plentiful (5) Each of the biggest USA Pharmaceuticals has a substantial research wing in Canada, because Canada has a very good medical research sector (6) Two of the six biggest railways in North America are in Canada, which covers transport.

It (TSX Composite) is the undercard champion who will be moving to the big ring bout with you know who soon (china) if not already.

I think this post will inspire some debate amongst my fiesty american comrades.

      Good trading

Hey Chem, how is the airline business up there? LOL

Got to admit I loved your post.

But people forget about the resources the US has. Only difference is they play a much SMALLER role in our economy than in a country like say Australia or similar.
