Will JP Morgan & HSBC declare Force Majeure?

They can claim what they want, but stepping on your own shwanz has continually been dismissed as not an act of God, or act in which you had no say or influence.

    • I really don't see how JPM/HSBC could declare force majeure since (A) there is plenty of phyisical silver out in the world and the exchange warehouses that they could buy to deliver against their short futures position (though not all at once) and (B) there is already cash settlement clauses in said futures which would require JPM/HSBC to pay out the cash equivilent plus a premium so don't see how that would help.

If they did declare force majeure expect alot of lawyers to get rich in the insuing tidal wave of lawsuits again the banks and exchanges IMO.
