This is new on SLW from the the lastest subscription report. He said SLW is growing faster than the miners and has much much less risk. It's 4-5 times larger than the miners in market cap. SLW will pass PAAS as the #2 silver producer in the world. I've got 4000 shares and may buy more.
The bottom line is to say Silver Wheaton’s business
model is a success is an understatement. Its ingenious silver-
streaming business has proven wildly successful! The
silver bulls who created this concept and went out and
bought the silver that nobody wanted are now being greatly
rewarded, and so are SLW’s investors. Interestingly the
average price of silver from the date of each contract was
just over $13/oz. With fixed cash costs at $4.00/oz, big
margins were already built in at the time of these deals. But
with silver now more than double, SLW’s margins are monstrous.
This allows for big cash flow and quick acquisitioncost
paybacks. And with impending large streams from two
of the world’s largest silver deposits, the best is yet to come. (gg, abx)
Yes news, In the last zeal subscription newsletter, h said. The china demand explosion is just beginning. He sai china has imported 6x pm's in 2010. And they are breaking records every month buying gold on the shanghai. Finally, he said china puts 50% of income into savings in liquid assets.
Read my posts in this thread its a good summary. we have the most bullish set up ever! Slw is my top holding
China is unloading US dollars at the peoples level. Treasuries at the Republic level. The peoples were not allowed to own silver until recently, their equivalent of a silver and gold stash was US dollars. Things change. Question is: When will they run out of paper? Then and only then will they quit buying resources. Since they are experiencing inflation, commodities is a good place to be.
Another thing to take a look at is the age of the Chinese population. Remember that a little over 30 years ago they implemented the 1 child policy. Their housing, food, etc. needs will be diminishing significantly in the future, along with their manufacturing capabilities. There is a serious need for stashing wealth away for a rainy day. The first wave of the 1 child generation is one third of the way through their productive working years.
It's called planning for the future as opposed to borrowing and printing.
Nomosheep, great post.
