Obama vs. Romney
All the industrial states in the North would vote for Romney. He is a job creator. Romney would take MA and sweep New England.
Obama is to the right of Romney but the Tea Party would not vote for him. So the Southern Wasps stay home and the black plus Hispanic vote caries the South for Obama.
It will be like turning the clock back 100 years where the South goes for the Democrats and the North for the Republicans.
You've guessed wrong. I'm an Independent. Some of the Tea Party stuff nauseates me, too, but it is because the movement has been co-opted but Neocon Republicans.
What you've really said, and somehow I am not sure that you even knew it, is at the upper echelons of the party structures, both left and right, there's only vague, nebulous or cosmetic differences. Personally, I attribute that to the fact that the players are all affiliated with, if not card holding members, of the CFR. I say that because they, that is each party, is carrying out all the necessary moves for the CFR all the while facilitating a useless argument that keeps the people polarized and unable to rebel against what they are doing effectively.
I wish both CNN and FOX would suffer from terminal technical difficulties so that people could begin to think for themselves again instead of allowing their positions to be formulated for them vis-a-vis sound bites.
That's because you can't get past the Republican a$$ kissing thing Moses.
It's Ok if you disagree. I don't care about Rep or Dem or Lib or Conservative.....just what's right and works. Right now no one can do that. Save your stars for Congress...they live for that crap. I give them -10 stars.
The tariffs that you allude to with orgasmic delight were not barriers to entry, but they did allow American industry an incubator in which to come into their own and that was quite necessary as a great deal of early American manufacturing produced goods were of dubious quality - one of the reasons that the South preferred European goods over domestically made ones.
Remember, it was the idea of the Founders that foreigners pay for the cost of the federal government, not the people - save only those cases of extraordinary need, but even then there was to be no direct capitation. The tariffs, duties and excises are still being collected today and in reality would still be close to enough IF, yes IF we had Constitutionally adherent governance and sound money....and domestic manufacturing, the REAL ECONOMIC ENGINE, wouldn't be in the disastrously anemic situation we find it in.
"GOP wants to save the country"
Could fool me. They can't get anything done unless there paid in full up front but big business.....Oil, Banks, or Drug companies. Line up and pave my hand.
Republicans talk big and have absolutely no solutions. None. Democrats aren't any better. Tea Party is just an extreme bunch of idiots with a bag of wants and no solutions too.
The answer: Good question but we need to start by putting term limits on Congress. There are lifetime criminals and need to be pulled back. Lobbying needs to be as illegal as bribing a Cop. Then maybe they will get there hands greasy instead of greased.
