On the surface, it does not look so good. Based on today's price of gold and the production predicted, the payback would be over 13 years. I think you have to look further. One of the mines is supposed to double production and the others have room for expansion. Also, the price of gold may go to $2,000. With this in mind, the payback may be a shorter period of time. Another factor is the dividend. The additional cash flow will increase the dividend payout. The most interesting thing was the 10 million warrants at 65 for 10 years. I guess both companies think SLW will be 65 at some time in the furture.
Time will tell if this was a good deal. It is bigger by far than anything SLW has ever done in the past.
Wonder if SLW will be going to the bank for more money seeing intrest is so low.. Banks dont trust loaning to miners but SLWs credit should be OK. What do you think ? The market seems to like this deal so far this morning.
