But what would be the Canadian Equivalent of Benedict Arnold?

I don't know who the "they" are you're referring to, but in audit after audit, the Canadian govt has stated, if you can structure your organization so as not to pay tax, we're all for it. Goes against what Americans have to live with these days, but it's no novel and unique, you might have missed it while gleefully working your short.
