1-5 July Eco Calendar, he claimed on the 4th of July

Everyone looked at the irate pop attendant end of mortgage backed bond buying by the Fed, nobody looked at the increase potential all other loans sympathetically moving upward? Auto sales are carrying the big ticket item sales, but they're a poor substitute for homes, higher irates won't help.

4th of July typically an up week, has jobs, employment and claims claims claims.

If you didn't have a joyous reason to reach for a cold one on the fourth, you're about to get the downer side for an excuse. Gold has fallen like a rock and taken silver with it. Yellen, Bernookie's touted replacement, is however even more interested in the employment side of the Fed mandate.

    Printers rejoice? Mebbe,

    • Today taper is ignored. Bogus job numbers Bernankie believes is a setup for Sept fizzles.

    • Construction spending May won't cover June irate pops in the 1/2% range effects--why, how could it, as we get a false sense of security before the next FOMC meeting 30 July which restates the intention of walking away from mortgage backed bond buying. As quailrunrd states, payroll will also be inflated by part timers and "guestimates" as the Fed continues to paint the tape, and Congress gridlocks. The wall of worry isn't a mountain, it's Mt St Helen's and I don't expect to see anything but more painted tape this traditionally up week..

Will we ever get a hard count on job numbers or will the will the Ministry of Good Intentions, aka BLS, keep infecting this data number with "birth/death" assumptions and "seasonal adjustments"? Better yet, when will "part time" work/jobs be excluded from NFP. If you currently get a new job and only work one hour during the week, it is blessedly counted as a new job. Go figure.

Nonfarm Payrolls: Government statistics you can believe in!
