    Long term chart

If you look at the long term chart a case can be made that we are looking at a mother of all cup and handles. The 1980's the share price hits $50, then over the next 30 years the price returns to $50, now after dipping down to the teens, the handle has started to form. Once it breaks above $50, this will confirm the mother of all cup and handles.

    Sentiment: Hold

    • Also, if you look at the long term chart for silver on the Goldprice website there is a huge spike in volume on April 14, 2013 for silver. It’s unclear how the volume numbers were arrived at, since they only begin to appear on that chart on December 5, 2010.

This big volume increase was just prior to what appears to be a price bottom on June 23, 2013. On other charts the June 23rd date appears as the first of two bottoms, the 2nd occurring on July 5. Where the data for these charts comes from is a mystery because the bottoms are a couple days apart, according to which chart you use. The future will tell whether these “bottoms” are significant or not.

    • Long term chart on silver. Sorry I didn't articulate that better.
