Thnaks for the reply. Whiting is interesting Bakken play. I own KOG and bought into it over about 3 years including 20 cent low. But I also like natural gas because it is down and most of the E&P companies own liquid rich land and have switched their rigs to these areas for the most part. Most dry gas drilling is to maintain lease hold.
I have a friend who knows someone involved in a hedge fund or money mgmt co that likes this company. It has a pretty low market cap for a company with such a big CAPEX program. I have followed companies that have these large investment programs, including pipelines and there always seems to be a payoff by following the money trail.
I'm with you. Tremendous price movement this week. There was a business conference last week in Youngstown, OH near the Utica shale and I'm wondering if word leaked out about preliminary results from the test well. I'm thinking about adding to my position. Any insights?
