at a 50% premium to recent PPS, but still low-ball buy-out at $1 billion if you ask me. Many on this board have invested in or followed PWER as well as GTAT. Both well run companies and industry leaders. Buy-out should have been at least $9-10 rather than $6.35. Perhaps the bidding is not quite done over at PWER. Depends on Silver Lake and private equity firms, but it seems they are on board. I think the implications are interesting for GTAT in terms of potential valuation if GTAT were ever to get an offer.
It should be up big based on the PWER buyout. I need to start day trading these early morning sell-offs lunchtime low volume flatlining and afternoon accumulation it is becoming so predictable that several percent per day can be made most days
At 20x next years estimated eps, about $7.20. In the meantime, it looks like revenue and eps will significantly exceed estimates. So by late summer I'd be looking for $7-$8 as solar picks up and the led/crystal business continues to grow.
