Looked like a 200k share buy at day low and then two more 150k buys on pullbacks.......then the typical drizzle volume to take from day high to even. Odd day indeed. At least we seem to have broken out of the typical day trade trend for the past week. If nothing else, it's now interesting.
There's some hedging now due to open options interest at $5. It's not huge compared to overall trading volume, but in that regard MM's will prefer to let the stock sit at $5.00 (+/- few cents) until expiration unless there's a strong enough external force to nudge it away.
Day? Generally, stocks go down before lower earnings, and up before improving earnings. When gtat cratered 10 to three, then we found out about a minus 15 cent quarter. Estimates now show 9,8 then 29 cent quarters coming. Assume increase in pps before those quarters, and the resurgence in solar installs and chewing away at the glut also confirm. If it advances 10% per month, I'm satisfied.
