Can institutions start to buy a stock after three consecutive days in which it closes *above* five dollars, or after three consecutive days in which it closes *at or above* five dollars? (i.e., will institutions be able to buy gtat tomorrow, given that it closed at exactly $5 the day before yesterday?)
Maybe that is a guideline for some institutions but as someone else on this board already noticed; GTAT has 109% institutional ownership. Which obviously is quite fascinating since there's no such thing...unless of course of the 50 million shares short, institutions have been able to buy more shares than the allotted float.
That would make sense.
