2013 Kombucha sales possibly high as 12 million

    Here's the math:
    36M expected total sales for 2013 (30M for 2012 + 20% 2013 growth per PR)
20M sales for Ginger and Virgil lines for 2013 (appears sales really haven't been growing much after 2011's blockbuster 20M. PR indicates G and V sales are expected to be "as strong as or stronger" which suggests no growth or a little growth. However, volume may still be growing)
4M for PL (PL is very tricky but 4M is about the average of last 3 years)
    36M - 20M - 4M = 12M. 7.5M bottles for 2013 may even turn out to be conservative.

    • Thank you. Please explain: PR indicates G and V sales are expected to be "as strong as or stronger" which suggests no growth or a little growth.
Also what s the "average" sale price for K that Reed records for its bookks? $1.5/bottle?

      • Per the 2/26 PR, 2nd paragraph last sentence:
"We expect full year 2013 to be just as strong, if not stronger for our core brands of Reed's Ginger Brews and Virgil's premium sodas." So- if Ginger and Virgil's was 20M in sales in 2012 and 2013 is gonna be "just as strong" then that is still 20M. Remember it does not include Kombucha. 12M on 7.5 K bottles suggests Reeds is selling K at an average wholesale price of $1.60 and that's if the sketchy math numbers are close enough.
