Kombucha Maker Locked Workers In Plant, Suit Says

Law360, New York (September 16, 2013, 6:04 PM ET) -- The owner of organic beverage brand GT’s Kombucha was hit with a putative class action in California court Thursday, accusing the company of locking workers in a warehouse, where they were “virtually placed under guard.”
The suit, filed by former employee Alma Mateos in California Superior Court in Los Angeles, alleges that Millennium Products Inc. maintained “abhorrent” conditions at its Vernon, Calif., bottling plant.
