Andrew Cuomo visits Rochester area on economy

Blackstone is part of the Centerbridge Group seeking to refinance EK out of BK. I think everyone wants what EK got in RE.

Assures Kodak tenants of state's resolve

    By Jon Campbell

Gov. Andrew Cuomo and Lt. Gov. Robert Duffy visited the Rochester area Tuesday to conduct a review of regional economic development plans. The review, originally scheduled for Oct. 30, was postponed because of Hurricane Sandy.
A key part of plans put forth by the Finger Lakes Regional Economic Development Council involves reuse of Eastman Business Park, the 1,200-acre facility owned by bankrupt Eastman Kodak Co. The council views the park as particularly well-suited for advanced energy research and development, though the tenant lineup is diverse.
Larry Schwartz, a top aide to Cuomo, said in a Nov. 24 letter to the park’s 38 tenants that the state stands ready to implement an emergency plan if Kodak stops operating the utilities there.
Schwartz said the state would work with a new owner if Kodak transferred operation of the utilities. Or, if Kodak is “unable or unwilling” to operate the park, he said the state would step in to coordinate a plan to keep the lights on.
“As Kodak continues to move through bankruptcy proceedings, the state is and will continue working towards solutions that preserve EBP’s business climate and position EBP for long-term economic growth,” Schwartz wrote.

      • Hey JUGHEAD, the only reason the state came was to assure the tenants that when EK goes completely belly up the state will step in to keep the utilities running. You guys really are STUPID to the FACTS!
See even the other businesses have ZERO faith in any EK responsibility/capability to meet their obligations and commitments! Rumors were that many were threatening to close up shop and relocate costing many more jobs in Rochester.

"Larry Schwartz, a top aide to Cuomo, said in a Nov. 24 letter to the park’s 38 tenants that the state stands ready to implement an emergency plan if Kodak stops operating the utilities there.

JUGHEAD, read the FACTS and weep along with the other LOSER LONGS! EK is on the verge of not even being able to afford to keep the lights turned on! It seems like everyone but you LOSERS know how the slimy EK mgt team works - but I guess since you are in the dark anyway you LOSERS wouldn't know it.

Keep providing the entertainment for us OK LOSERS!
