The gamblers have left. $9 was a result of all of their intervention. Making money in oil and natural gas is very difficult especially for the little guys like XCO. Unless natural gas rises to much higher prices this stock will not do much but be shorted and sold. Not good for long term investors I'm afraid. I'm very positive on natural gas as an alternative energy source but this country has to get going with it instead of just talking.
I agree for there are many variables involved here. But you're correct natural gas must be taken more seriously by America especially for vehicle usage. Americans only lile change if it helps their wallets. Ford is making a move to allow natural gas consumption in its F-150 truck. Hopefully all others will mimic this move.
Just because some of America's fat cats are invested in XCO doesn't mean they're right though. These folks will be the first to tell you that you win some and lose some. Hopefully they're right here with XCO and the natural gas world.
