Looks like this one stop shop has the right strategy - Maybe if the great Doctor would spend less time playing the horses he could study a business model that works! He could also help the balance of payments by NOT importing expensive horses.
The level of activity on this message board is a direct reflection of what is going on with AMRI these days, which, in summary, equals to nothing!!!!! We were told about all the reasons why they were going global, the amount of business generated, the synergy produced, the boost in every department, and on and on...results after a couple years now, zip zero nada...correction, (-) zero as AMRI is still losing money..I am all for new endeavors and attempts to generate new profits and business, but also to shut them down if they end up being money guzzlers. That may be AMRIs downfall, the capacity to recognize that it is better to consolidate what they have, even if it means to remains at the same size or decrease it, instead of trying to grow too fast at any cost. Managers at AMRI have taken (too much) pride in seeing this company grow by the day over the last 15 years, but there is (and may be there was) a time to stop this uncontrolled gluttony. AMRI is getting fat, it needs to stop pilfering and start a serious diet.
