I talked at length with my minister about some of the recent salacious “posts”. We both agree that these are the result of my inappropriate off topic post. For this, I am truly repentant and apologize to AMRI, fellow posters and to Dr. D’Ambra. Instead of being angry, I should try and understand the motivations of these disturbed individuals. In looking over the posts, he was positive that these were written by ex-employees. There was no doubt in his mind that they are cognitively impaired and refuse to accept the real reason for their voluntary (or involuntary) termination. Rather than face reality that a company lets the mediocre underperformers go during a downsizing, they can’t accept this and try to exact revenge with salacious postings. Clearly they are in for a shock as the chances are high that in their next position (assuming they can obtain references) they will not be working for a company with the great entrepreneurship and family values that is at the core of AMRI culture. Only those workers who excel at continuous employee improvement stand a chance of finding employment in the future.
What no one can be appreciative of, are the posters that make fun of serious accidents and make derogatory remarks about Dr. D’Ambra’s family! ** PLEASE LEAVE THEM ALONE **
On a side note, stk_hnter, I liked your Animal Farm analogy. How about: Dr. D’Ambra the job creator is Snowball and these pigs cooked up various allegations of evil plots by Snowball and blamed Snowball for every misfortune. But as to shorts, I think you are either one or deluded.
A friend provided me with the data below. Although this is still a small data sample (I would prefer 10 years of data) it would appear that the general trend is that the number of AMRI Shares Short seems to be decreasing. Therefore shorts are being covered, which makes sense at this price range (as I speculated in an earlier post).
02/15/2012: 441,559
01/31/2012: 501,249
01/13/2012: 567,781
12/30/2011: 596,416

11/30/2011: 752,338
11/15/2011: 784,080
10/31/2011: 761,618
10/14/2011: 837,622
09/30/2011: 991,008
09/15/2011: 1,037,842
08/31/2011: 997,617
08/15/2011: 1,055,564
07/29/2011: 1,015,314
07/15/2011: 1,078,347
06/30/2011: 1,158,854
06/15/2011: 1,192,629
05/31/2011: 1,139,737
05/13/2011: 1,076,578
According to the data provided by Yahoo, the updated figure for AMRI Shares Short is 441,560
Here is the three month trend since the issue of this exact data was raised:
441,560
501,250
567,780
That is still a small data sample but it would appear that the trend seems to be that the number of AMRI Shares Short seems to be decreasing. Therefore shorts are being covered, which makes sense at this price range (as I speculated in an earlier post).
For investors with money and cast iron stomachs Yelp could be a short given this headline from Yahoo: Yelp Shares Soar 60% on First Day Despite Mixed Reviews
Yahoo did not list any options but maybe that is just a matter of time before there are Puts and Calls trading.

You must be part of management for this company to have written a statement like this. Is this how you dismiss the mistakes made over the last couple of years.
IT'S NOT THE LEADERS FAULT IT MUST BE THE UNDER-WORKING WORKER BEES
Tell that to the 8% of the US workforce currently out of work!
What an A**
I'm sure Big Bad Tom is quite capable of looking after himself, and doesn't need any help from Peewee Herman Wannabees.
On a side note: your share price is going down again: shouldn't you be putting on another 50 reactions or something?
See you at the de-listing party!
Lost another 3 cents today.....is this the beginning of the end....2 dollars, 1 dollar by summer....oh well...ride it out....
LEAVE TOMMY ALONE!!!! I'm SERIOUS! LEAVE HIM ALONE!!!!
Ok, seriously Andy? You and your minister sitting there perusing the AMRI message board doing armchair psychoanalysis on the posters? Either this is made-up nonsense or your minister is just as bored as you are.
As for "family values" - I wasn't aware that 2 weeks vacation (which can be cancelled without notice even if you've already booked your plane tickets), working 50+ hours a week, and no credit given for working overtime (which is most of the time) and weekends counted as "family values", unless your idea of family values is having your wife leave you and your kids not know who you are.
The scariest part of taking vacation is that someone else might try to pick up your work and f- it up. I had to work a whole weekend once because I took ONE day off, my manager asked someone else to do a reaction with a material I made because they couldn't wait ONE day, lost it all, and I had to go back like 5 steps and take the heat from the angry customer.
Your minister must be in at $20 a share or something.

Would you please be so kind as to explain your comment? I do not understand it and I would like to politely provide you the opportunity to explain, and elaborate on, this comment. Thank you in advance.

I am appreciative of your polite reply. If only everyone on the board was as civilized! You have on numerous occasions given the impression that no one is shorting. On one posting a few years ago I believe you indicated that no one shorts in the price range that AMRI is at. In my experience when someone emphatically denies something they are often untruthful. Given that Yahoo indicates 567,000 shares are short (not an insignificant amount) I wonder why you are posting these comments. Based on these facts, I hope you understand my skepticism.
Perhaps AK doesn't understand that the time to short a stock is NOT when it's near its all time low. Man if I had gone in at $18......
