    • US and even more the European banks, currently and for the forseeable 1-2 years future, stays a minefield.

JPM is just the latest example.
Unpredictable EU regulatory environments, and the crisis of the European financial union make EU financial institutions, incl. ING, a real gamble from investors point of view. This is mirrored at ING valuation ratios.

Still, everyday life and business investment IN EU is a credit based system. Its hard to imagine any kind of sustainable economic recovery and expansion without the financial sector, particularly banks, participating.

In 2-3 years ING could be a well-capitalised, from sold insurance even acquisition-hungry bank, with cca. 6B/y earnings machine.

But first, just say thanks and replace the current crisis-conscientious and every-quarter-failed management, to a future-oriented imaginative new executives. Roll over, Jan Hommen.
