Do you happen to know how much ING owes the Dutch govt? I seem to recall the number 3 billion somewhere (I forget which currency). If that is true, that is not much of a challenge to ING since it has sold about 17-18 billion dollars worth of assets (... without the stock price moving up at all!).
No,but they can better not paying any div because it will saving a lot of capital so the stockprice can going up. ING has a equity of $17 per share. At the moment Europe is in recession loan to value of ING is 60% ,they have little troubles about the recession . Hold your shares in 2013 Europe is out of the recession and ING is worth $20 per share.
