Swift Energy Co. Message Board

Are expectations too high for tomorrow?

Obviously the company is undervalued fundamentally...but with expectations through the roof, is a letdown inevitable with earning tomorrow?

    • Swift should blow away expectations

      1. Swift earned $1.61 in quarter 1 and indicated for every $1 move in natural gas they would earn an additional $1 in EPS and for every $1 move in crude they would earn an additional $.15 per sharee for the year.

For quarter 1 the average price for natural gas was $7.97 which shoud increase to $10.97 in quarter 2 adding $.75 to the quarter bottom line.

For quarter 1 they averaged $99.43 for oil and should average $115 in quarter 2 which should add
$.54 to the bottom line in quarter 2.

Even without taking into account the projected production increase SFY should earn $1.29 more then in Q1 increasing earnings to $2.89 for quarter 2.

This stock has nowhere to go but up and soon or it will be bought out by an energy trust company

Even at $100 oil and $8 gas SFY would earn over $1.60 a quarter or $6.4o a year
