YPF sets aside 6 billion pesos for dividends

Actually : "the creation of a reserve for future dividends for an amount of 5,901 million pesos". This is from the 6-K posted on Edgar 3/6/9. At 3.64 pesos to the U.S. dollar that amount is 1,621 million dollars. There are 393 million shares so that is $4.12 per share set aside to pay future dividends.

Six Billion Pesos, Thats about $300.00 bucks. You couldn`t buy a used car for Six Billion Pesos. You could however line up a Couple Pretty Senoritas and a couple bottles of Tequillia and have a Grand old Time For Six Billion Pesos.

Argentina Oil Co YPF To Sell $300M Bonds On International Markets
      Last update: 11/5/2010 1:43:04 PM
      By Ken Parks
BUENOS AIRES (Dow Jones)--YPF SA (YPF), the Argentine unit of Spanish oil company Repsol YPF SA (REP), said Friday that its board of directors has authorized the sale of $300 million in bonds in what will be its first issuance on international debt markets since 1999.
In a press release, YPF said the issuance could be increased to as much as $600 million under a $1 billion bond program that was approved by shareholders and regulators in 2008.
Proceeds from the placement will be used to fund investments in its business, the company said.
Repsol acquired about 98% of Argentina's former state run oil company YPF in 1999, but in 2007 it sold a minority stake to the local Eskenazi family as part of its plan to trim exposure to Argentina in favor of growth opportunities elsewhere. Today, the Eskenazi family owns 15.4% of the oil company through its Grupo Petersen holding.
Shares of YPF traded in New York were down 0.8% at $40.20 in afternoon trading.
