is a death trap. YPF [YPF 13.26 0.96 (+7.8%) ]: Based in Buenos Aires, YPF is Argentina’s largest oil producer. Its stock has dropped by 61 percent in the last three months, yet it’s currently trading at just 3 times earnings with a 13 percent growth rate. All of it might sound attractive, but Cramer noted that YPF is being nationalized by the Argentine government. On April 16, the government announced it would seize a majority stake in YPF from Repsol, a Spanish oil and gas company. Cramer suspects the government could continue to seize more and more of the company as time goes on. He recommends avoiding this stock.
Why even post what Cramer says? Who cares what he thinks, he doesn't know anymore than anyone else!!!
Have you no brain of your own? If you are going to blindly follow someone, it should be "TheArb".
The way I see it is the Argentine Gov went overboard by taking the Co from Repsol, and in order to get some needed financing to get the oil out of the ground, they will play nice for a while. That means appreciation of YPF.
Once they have the big field developed, then they may get mean again, but that's a long way off.
