There are people out there bad mouthing YPF, among those are Repsol; but if they keep talking #$%$, then they will not see a penny of the compensation they will eventually receive for their part. I will also say it will NOT be anywhere near the 10 billion they want either. Fact is that big names like Bridas, Chevron, and soon the chinese will all be part of this and YPF will be unstoppable. Quedate tranquillo!
I think they are badmouthing the decision of the argentine goverment for nationalizing a company that was paying out a nice dividend, and turning it into not just a large capital loss but a large reduction in dividend yield. Its difficult to defend repsol, but as well the princess. After more than a year the stock price has not stabilized and the dividend is poor. Argentina has not been in favor as a emerging market investment because of its vindictive approach to Repsol, I'm not Repsol and plenty of pensioners have been hurt by the argentine goverment. If your goal was to nationalize due to Repsol, the argentine goverment should have been on top of it long ago.
