Now pricing to income 33,000 average income 4 times is 132,000... for a normal correction we are still 20% higher... Now I know all the government civil service people are paid 20% more and have had the stability to have good FICO (system rigged for them) but with the national debt what it is these government jobs safe?
Home builders are very very overpriced... even the ones providing financing are risky risky bets on your wealth.
The nice thing about this ETF is it has few home builders and majority of the rest of the stocks are home related products. As the economy grows and even the foreclosures are taken over by investors, they have to spend the money to fix these properties. That is why XHB is going up and will keep going up for the next 2 to 3 years. Steady and strong. Short if you like, but you will lose your money slowly!
I think you are right! May be even higher. Now that the consumer is picking up spending, majority of these cyclicals stocks on this ETF are off to the races. A great way to play the housing and consumer spending. The ETF actually is a much stronger barometer of the consumer than pure housing. I won't be surprised if we close in the $28 to $29 range in the next few weeks. The cyclicals always lead.
