When everyone's listener numbers are out you'll discover that the USA has about 700 million people.aapl' google, microsoft, have no reason to fudge there's but p is totally dependent on their numbers increasing or the price of their stock goes to zero since they make no money. Yes, finally Pandora became a safer short, supported by data, not just estimations. With the latest metrics, they had zero growth in the past 6 months and in just 4 months their YoY metrics will show growth under 10%. They will be able to grow top and bottom line for sometime but the fast growth by increasing number of listeners is over for now. Let's see if it resumes after a few months, when APPL and Pandora establish some sort of equilibrium in the market.
Bottom line: no growth (or in this case expectations of growth) = lower valuations.
A $40 stock with no profits/earnings and none on the horizon now that AAPL iTunes radio is out on all the latest AAPL hardware.
Sounds very optimistic to say the least! It's just a matter of time before this one tanks. It will never grow into its current valuation of $4B. That's with a capital "B".
It looks like Pandora earnings Q3 will always fade given the excuses for lower numbers. Looks like they didn't think this excuse out very well. Sports? Sports is the reason your numbers were lower? What about Xmas, will their numbers be lower because people were shopping instead. No, I think they have exhausted all their excuses for declining numbers.
