    • Did you know india invented the decimal number system, which makes addition and subtraction so easy now.

Try the Roman numerals, you asses.

    • Do we need to post links about the Chinese not being free ?

And, why get into such messages in a site about wipro ?

    • The Chinese are not free.

      Need I say more ?

Any land that makes use of violence, threat, and force to control its citizens- is bound to fail. History tells us this. India is beyond this.

    • Hmmm that is funny, because I came from india when I was young (after finishing 8th grade) when they tested me for math skills for highschool in 9th grade to see what class (subject) they should put me in, I tested at 14+ grade level. Meaning I knew more math then most in U.S. colleges and universities. And I was an average student in my class in india as far as math went when I came to U.S.

Before you depend on a survey, first look at the source of the survey and who they have surveyed. They probably went to a free govt school and did the survey where unfortunately kids come more for the free food and not the free education. India is a poor nation by western standards but they are making key gains, and I am willing to bet that India has more literate number of citizens then the entire population of U.S. so lets not go down that road bud...

    • "Among children in fifth grade, 4 out of 10 could not read text at the second grade level, and 7 out of 10 could not subtract."

This is what the article said- and referred to a small survey (compared to the number of kids in 5th grade in India).

Now, of those that can do math, and read- what have they done ? As a nation ?

An idiot is identified by their thought- and it is clear that whosoever posted this drivel- clearly has no intellect. Bereft of this, he can only drool utterings, hoping to create some response- when, in reality, the only response that is proper- is: Go back to school, and learn.

Something that the poster- clearly failed to do. And, as he is undoubtably > 18, it is most likely that he will never learn, which only goes to prove: idiots live on.

    • And you still love sticking with Indian board. Looks like 10 out of 10 students from your country could not subtract.

Any way you are welcome here on Indian WIT board.
