acquisition by a financially stronger REIT. they could provide a nice spike in revenues and FFO for someone like ASN. Just speculation but it could happen in a consolidation environment.
AEC is not prime acquisition material. Its been in self-LQ mode for too long showing no interest in growth. Given the recent price drop anyone who bought for a double-digit yield has a negative real return and the dividend should be cut massively anyway. ASN wouldn't touch this dead reit in an era of consolidation. History shows that weak reits tend to consolidate with other weak reits.
