    Feeding Frenzy, 30+ companies committed/interested

Reputational Risk is hopefully something the company considers when accepting jobs. Who are your partners in the drilling? A poor casing job that leads to contaminated wells, bad publicity, EPA involvement, and possible reduction in public good will may reduce the total amount of work available even though Gasfrac is not at fault.

Imagine they win permission to start drilling in NY state, but this scenario plays out in one of the early wells.

I think most in the industry understand this, but really they need to step up and apply serious peer pressure to address any potential problems and police themselves before the regulators get involved in ways that could have been anticipated and prevented and lead to reduced business (and profits!) for everyone.

    • Agree with you. One advantage for GasFrac is that there is so much more interest by operators in using this technology than GasFrac has fracking sets to accommodate. Even with the planned expansion, there will still be a great deal of pent-up demand. Thus, GasFrac can be very choosy in picking customers and presumably will pick those best able to work with the company to ensure a safe operation.
