CHL China Mobile is public traded company with a market cap of $200B. They are working with CLWR to promote TD-LTE at 2.6 GHz. Nokia is building kit at 2.6 GHz for China Mobile (and likely CLWR). SK Telecom made a play for S in 2008. China Mobile could easily buy S + CLWR and change US Telecom (crush T & VZ). Sprint plus Clearwire is the ideal acquisition for ANY that wants to enter US Telecom market. A few Billion spend on infrastructure and the S+CLWR network is a #1 contender.
I don't think the current political system would allow a China buyout of large cell phone carrier. Sorry but don't see it. Cable Co's from the good OL USA and as of late M.PCS is looking better as possible wholesale partners which would be plenty to get the pps going N and staying there IMO. A little vendor financing wouldn't hurt either dependent on the deal of course.
