Saw an article about cities and towns facing shortgages in salt for the roads for these storms. NRGY made a big deal at the Wachovia MLP conference about their acquisition of that salt business. Wonder how that is helping the bottom line.
The other advantage of the salt business is that extracting the salt as a saline solution as they are doing then allows them to use that space for natural gas storage in the future, so they are using the salt business which was immediately accretive to enhance their pipeline and storage business at the same time. Of all the presentations I heard, I was most interested in NRGY's because of this innovative idea.
