    Thanks for that information. Although I live on my dividends and am not interested in the DRIP program, I did not know that the shares were not subject to taxation. A nice thing to know.

    • I also own TEF and there is no way around the dividend withholding tax from Spain. So I sell my TEF if the price is right on ex-dividend EVE. Pull up a 1-year chart on TEF on Google Finance to see how this can increase your dividend if you wait a bit before buying back; a month seems about optimal. Of course TEF is down "big time" now but the next dividend isn't until Oct. TEF stock tends to peak right before the dividend: ex-dividend EVE.
