The work force reduction commenced today and it's clearer now than ever this firm is clueless on utilizing internal staff resources. CPLA has realized turnover of their CEO, COO, CIO and then President of the University (the academic side of their business).
The announced staff cuts are being executed today and tomorrow and it's clear the incumbent management team is composed of retail rejects. The business is headed into a death spiral having lost its founder's input on day to day business.
Current management is clueless, from Enrollment to marketing, especially marketing where new, inexperienced directors and managers meander aimlessly while pretending to understand all those individual job functions that "report" to them.
Glad I sold out completely months ago when the rumors first started. Not the rumor about lay-off's; the rumor about the competencies (and gross lack thereof) of the senior staff. If you're holding, sell. These folks couldn't sell as retailers and they sure as hell won't sell education to anyone any more.
