New thread as old one is too long.
Well we seem to have some real momentum going here which wasnt particulalrly justified by the latest numbers. Did you hear where they were with the share buy back pot? Are you in?
Does anyone know why they didn't file an NT 10-K? This would at least tell us that the latest date by which they have to file the 10-K would be 15 days from filing the NT 10-K. It would also be interesting to see how they would answer the question:
"Is it anticipated that any significant change in results of operations from the corresponding period for the last fiscal year will be reflected by the earnings statements to be included in the subject report or portion thereof?"
on this form...
Good questions and the answer is no - made some comments in a new post (thread too long so if you reply do so in that please) Unusual to say the least. The only real bit of insight is it's international and it's revenue recognition.
This implies it can't be a huge amount - its not the US and very unlikely to be the UK the next biggest sub - revenue recognition can mean many things.
I meant the "let's see how it falls" part....specifically "falls". We'll change it to "transpires"......
Usually these things end up being nothing. But unfortunately it's that "cloud" of uncertainty that these matters create....
In light of the circumstances maybe perspective would have been a better choice of word! - the author would like to note he is not a SABA employee and does not plan to join them in the next 72 hours.
Interestingly they mention international in their statement - so maybe a cause for concern - but at worst it will only affcet 20% of the business - assuming its confined to one sub!
I don't think that you can tell anything from the release. There's nothing to suggest that it involves anything untoward. Probably just revenue recognition issues or something.
But hedge funds and shorts can jump all over these things. Look at all the "posts" on what is usually a dead board.
Shame - have just bought ECA - given you (and me) seem to be conservative buyers/bargain hunters - would be interested in your views.
I hear that Apple is going to fly further but I am jsut not wired for momnetum buying
I am sitting whatch this tick up - hope I'm not getting greedy!
Good luck with your other stocks
It seems like everything is going gangbusters...even the employment stats. I am still skeptical about everything. I want the economy to do well. But when I go into my local supermarkets...it doesn't look like people are doing very well. A little tape painting for the election? Or maybe I have just become too cynical.
One swallow does not make a summer - but there are signs that the American economy is resilient. The key is the property market finding a bottom and young people starting to buy homes again (at sensible prices)... think youre getting there... which is not the case where I am!
and to fill the post with cliches - the night is darkest just before the dawn!
