The news is that, or should we say, the rumor is that White House promised to work to keep the volumes at the 1.28 billion gallons/year (same as 2013 volume). Which is not really a good news, nor a bad news. So if you missed the boat in buying before the surge, just wait till the exuberance subsides a bit here.
"The administration Friday also set a target range for all advanced biofuels of 2 billion to 2.5 billion gallons. Producers of biodiesel, which falls under that category, say they can provide more. On Thursday, 32 senators sent a letter to EPA administrator Gina McCarthy asking the administration to set a volume requirement of at least 1.7 billion gallons for biodiesel alone."
I maybe mistaken, but that seems just fine. Have added on thinking that market is confusing the headline which pretains to ethanol, as applying as well to biodiesel. YMMV
