I have to assume that as much as you protest my postings that you already knew SVU was a bad investment and getting worse by the day.
If weighing in with additonal information on a stock that is doing poorly with no light at the end of the tunnel upsets you, then I a guess I am gulity.
The only question remaining is why then do you continue to follow it?
I am moving on to stocks that provide a decent return.
Sorry if I offened your sensibilities!
preble, old chap, you say "for the record" that you have weighed in on at least 20 other stocks.
Well, the "record" - - your posting history under the handle "preblejoe" - - shows that you`ve only posted here and only about SVU.
Senator Bob Kerrey once said of Bill Clinton: "He`s an exceptionally good liar."
You, sir, are a poor liar.
Nice baiting tactic! And for the record I have weighed in on at least 20 other stocks.
By the way, I pleased to see that you at least have enough common sense to know the milk doesn't go on top of the bread.
Start pushing private label products to get customers interested.even if that means some really good sale prics.change the advertizment angle of thier ads.put up a web site or e-mail site that your employees can give input.the people your hireing in key positions in your stores ,because of who they know isnt good. You need to promote the people you have for what they know not who.
I'm not a good samaratin just someone pointing out the facts. It's interesting to watch you and a few others defend SVU when it's evident to most rationale people that its a poor investment.
I wonder how far under water your investment is that you are working so hard to defend the stock?
Good Luck, but you should have sold it a long time ago.
I own all three stocks presently and have never shorted any of them (or any stock, for that matter). I have had multiple profitable ins and outs from all three grocer stocks, and Kroger is my favorite of the group as an operator though maybe not always as an investment. I look at sales performance over profitability, combined with store operations.
Sorry, I don't believe you.
Too many times on too many stocks one sees someone saying they were compelled to create a yahoo ID on a stock that they do not own in order to post negative comments about it.
Usually the person is a short, reresents a short or has recenty lost their job at the company.
When I posted you had two comments on a newly created account just for SVU.
Please provide the math that proves over 10 years that SVU will only save a few million on those 800 jobs cut.
First year 800*80,000 = $64Million. this is conservative since bene's double a persons true cost.
10 years = $640 million savings.
If you don't want to buy SVu then dont't.
Feel free to write the BOD a letter with your recommendations.
"By the way you can invest your money in a savings account and receive a .80% return with little or no risk."
Thank you for your free advice.
INvestors that buy SVU now will get 1.25% in a few weeks then another 1.25% in a quarter.
Hope that money market you are pushing doesn't break the buck.
