I believe another application of this could be in academia computers. I've been to a few universities including Harvard and they have Windows labs and Mac labs. They would love to make life convenient for the students by having both OS or some more applications on each university computer. Students graduating will kind of want everything as well when they buy there computers. I know you can have both OS on one computer without virtualization as well. However, your system needs to be a very nice expensively configured machine that not everyone can afford.
So, even though it is still fuzzy to me how a non hi-tech corporation like biotech or Pharma or Food or Energy could make use of virtualization. But, I guess even if Financials and Technology sectors can make good use of this application....VMW will rock.
A high P/E does NOT bother me because it is a sign of future growth potential for the company. Higher the P/E, steeper the expected growth.
