It never ceases to amaze me how one computer somewhere will drive the price down with a hundred shares while a buy of several thousand will not move it up. Someone, somewhere knows exactly how low this stock will go and when it will get there. Additionally, the Wash Rule does not permit a small guy to sell and get back in when its safer, not without a the tax trap.
It seems like 90% of investors think like this. I see it over and over again. They buy a bad company, then babble about market manipulation when it goes down. Could there be any other reason the stock is down today? Oh, how about this downgrade? http://finance.yahoo.com/news/vmware-downgraded-hold-buy-deutsche-131936124.html Or the fact that the overall market is tanking too? Nah, it must be manipulation! It's rigged!
Yes, and GMCR was a bad company last fall while little has changed since then, the stock went from the low 20's to 73's today. How many examples would be enough? NTFX, NAV, LNKD, examples of market manipulation. OK, I forgot TSLA. RAX is getting the same porking that VMW is getting. Both of their CEO's have no sack.
