I Just Got Off The Phone With Jack Howarth

    An email exchange at first:

    Dear Mr. Howart,
I would first like to start off my introducing myself. My name is XXXXX XXXXX XXXXX and I am a very serious and long time holder of Antares stock. Between many, many friends and family,we hold nearly 600K shares. I have also written a couple supportive articles of the company, through a vanilla blog site, only because of my passion I have for your company, Antares. With this being said, I feel like I have a high responsibility in helping these same friends and family members out, that I persuaded into buying ATRS stock, with their highly controled concerns. As I am sure you are aware, the stock price has deteriorated from the very begining of the new diluted share offering. It was sort of expected at the begining and I am in high hopes it will be a thing of the past very soon, specially with the decision from the FDA very soon. I know we are getting close to a lock-down period for the upcoming conference call, where you and others will not be able to comment on such matters. So I ask of you, could you please provide some kind of encouragement to these investors/fans of your company so that maybe they could rest a little easier at night. It would be greatly appreciated.Thank you for your time.
    Regards,
    X. X. XXXXX

X, X...you – and your family and friends can call me any time. Since you know the story so well, it might be better if you called. I receive daily calls from institutions, so any time you would like to speak, I’m available. I personally own 506,316 shares – these are shares I purchased prior to joining the company as well as shares I have purchased over the past year. With respect to the quiet period (“lock-down period”), that begins at the end of each reporting quarter. That doesn’t mean I can’t talk to you – I just can’t talk about non-public information.
    Regards,
    Jack Howarth

So I called him. He reassured what I already knew and that was he is very confident in his company and says in his belief "retail" investors are causing the stock tio flucuate like it is. He also said he felt that would change very soon. No comment on the FDA other than what was already said by another poster and that is "No news is good news". I urge any one here who doubts the Antares' story to call Mr.Howarth. You will have a better feeling once you get off the phone. His STRONG CONFIDENCE in his company and his shares shows that.

    Have a great evening everyone!

    • Congrats for following up on the posts of a couple of days ago and calling.

It seems to me that Mr. Howarth learned a great deal more new information about you, not that I think anything wrong with that, than you learned new information about ATRS.

This is to be expected, as he explained, since he can only say that is public, that is, already known. The difficulty in this regard is that the perception is that there is not a great deal in this category, and new additions are quite rare.

I still do not understand why there is not a filing with the SEC of his holdings, even if one is not mandatory as the subject comes up all the time anyway.

As far as his reading the Yahoo messages - great, and not a surprise. Discounting the crank post, they may give a kind of feedback, such as issues preoccupying the yahoo posting investor, the effectiveness of the company in making itself understood, common misconceptions, etc. Theoretically, this could furnish some degree of guidance for future communications.

    • What is he going to say, that the company is not doing good, Remember he is a salesman, a used care salesman

    • Thanks for sharing, Shadow. I've had similar talks with Jack. He clearly is confident in the company and is working hard to bring more institutional support.

    • sp1,
Thanks for sharing your time w/ me.

    • I once owned a stock symbol was FRPT, and it was taken over by General Dynamics. All I can say is the smart bpeoplr those that weren't pigs sold at a profit. It went from a buck to over 30 then fell back down to around 5. Many got killed and some , the smart ones who didn't fall in love with the stock made money. As I read your comments it reminded me of the time i would speak to someone at the company similat to the man you've emailed and spoken with. He was always positive but in the end he really knew nothing, was just a glad hander and many of us fell for it. So I learned a bitter lesson, even the best DD doesn't tell the story. Never load up and think to buy some more because it seems to be a bargain so you buy more. Don't fall in love with a company, when you see a profit take it with companies like this. GE and companies like that are a different storyfor aloong term hold while collecting dividends. There wee so many on the FRPT board who did great DD and in the end many of them went bankrupt, I know one in particular who loaded up. When one is greedy they are a door away from disater. Be happy with a profit and move on. One never knows what the FDA will decide. This is not spam, I speak from experience and my heart. I've been down this road before and learned my lesson.I do own 700 shares at $4.10 and that's it. I will wait and see what I once read is true, and if so, then I will sell if it gets to 5 bucks, I will be happy withsmall change, no more thousands of shares for me like once befoee. I paid the price once, never again. Good Luck To All, GLTA.

      • if the stock continues to slide Marvin will not the last one offering life-coaching advise, it's too bad our own "Dr. Phil" session will be cut short today as I think 3.59 should be turn around point...

      • So, I'm curious marvin. When do you think the world is going to end? Did you really want to post what you just did??

Seriously and pardon me BUT: "Many got killed and some , the smart ones who didn't fall in love with the stock made money. Is your proclamation that Antares is guilty by association because someone posted of a phone call to the in house investment rep? Is this a personal example of your own "even the best DD"? Your implication is that "the man you've emailed and spoken with" is a glad hander (sic) but "in the end he really knew nothing????" You realize you are referring to Jack Howarth, correct and therefore I assume you have talked with him, correct?

This 3rd post is yours on this board is quite a departure from your first post. Shall I copy and post that for you?

        My advice is that you should sell your 700 shares a s s o o n a s p o s s i b l e. I'm serious.

My apologizes if anyone thinks I was too rough on the ol' chap.

Lordy, good Lordy, this might have to be my last post for awhile! My head hurts!!

      • Sorry I read my post and see I made spelling errors, forgive me. I also saw in extended trading it was $3.59, so I think another down day tomorrow. In my earlier post I meant to say at the beginning the post "All I can say is the smart people those" Again GLTA.

    • Shadow, Thanks for sharing. That information certainly makes me feel better. Although my outlook on the company is extremely positive, news such as your call is especially comforting after the recent down days.

      Sentiment: Strong Buy

    • One more thing before I head over to the Gulf. I thought it was sort of neat when he said, "He reads some of our post ". Just as Jab9 taught me awhile back, you might think about that next time your posting. Any who...I hope this calms some fears and maybe we will all be "giggly" this time next month. Again, have a great evening.
