Serious reples only, Could the high volume drop be

due to an impending offering? I know many think their cash on hand is adequate for the near to mid term future, but I have seen these biotechs that are far along take the opportunity of having big money who is able and willing to buy in do so, and at same time, it pads the bank account, which is good and attractive .Actually what got me thinking this way is yesterday, PSDV, also an advanced biotech with products on the market and a major upcoming catalyt in Oct., had a big price drop during the day, and after markets closed, announced an offering..Like ATRS, it has had some major gains this year, and therefore the offering was for a much higher price than it would have been a few months ago. Any thoughts?

    • it would be a stupid time to do a secondary....secondaries are best done after a hefty run....this should run closer to the PDUFA. If anything, a secondary makes sense after the approval.

    • Hard to tell but my guess is that insider sales plus estimated earnings, short term investors opt out. I am a long term investor but I hate to see a large drop in price because I hold so many shares. This to will pass and the current price will be history.

      Sentiment: Strong Buy

    • In my book, the start of the day, first 5 minutes saw "heavier" selling than the muted volume the just past 8 days. So this set the tone. Then another "heavy" selling period at 11am eastern. The nervous nellies and the lemmings of course, followed suit because that is what they do, trade on fear. I'm going to borrow a line from someone else that posted, "you can't fix stupid". I think that applies to today's action, imo.

      Sentiment: Strong Buy

I wouldn't put it past ATRS to do another secondary, and frankly I'd be surprised if some insiders don't dump some more stock before October, it's what they do. For you to call folks who sold today stupid is, well.... kind of stupid. I lightened up my position (a lot) a while back, and my expectations for my remaining shares. Am I stupid? Let's be honest here, ATRS is a pretty weird stock, things that move other stocks don't seem to move this one. Two weeks ago everybody thought $heff was an idiot for his scalp when he got out at about $4.50, looks pretty brilliant right now doesn't it? I only hold 3500 shares at this time, and I won't add a single other one. I just don't have the same conviction that some of you do, does that make me stupid to?

      • Jab:
I bought some stock today - maybe to trade - but if we get any
of the expected good news in the next few weeks - to hold for
        far greater profits.

I don't know who would sell less than 3 months from a very low
risk event that would be a defining moment for the company, would
eliminate any near term risk, change the company (for the better) in
so many ways - and should drive our stock a lot higher.

        As for today's sellers:
Maybe they are "stupid" - I think so - I hope so and I expect so.
Or maybe they just don't want to pay a lot of income tax on big
Time will tell and I expect a very nice recovery next week -

        GOOD LUCK

        Sentiment: Strong Buy

    • At first I thought maybe some more inside trading. Now that the volume is picking up,I'd say maybe a fund manager is exiting their position. Looking back at the charts,I still think we are okay and $6 can be accomplished by year end.

    • i have a better chance of dating kate upton...
