Being able to short AFFY is a myth. Don't believe me? Try shorting a thousand shares. You cannot do it. Those who are short are the brokerages who hold your shares and those who were fortunate enough to short AFFY prior to, and during, the original 85% drop. All you can do now is buy and sell what shares you have bought or own from before. As long as you are cool with that, then trade away. But do not be caught holding a long position overnight especially. The other risk you have is should trading be halted pending news. I doubt the next news will send the stock up to make AFFY longs who bought shares after AFFY's March 18th announcement of possible bankruptcy rich. Also AFFY has not filed its year end financial statements. I doubt you will see 100 million cash or book value anywhere near $1.78/share. And remember the 2012 10K is before the Omontys recall. GLTA longs. You are going to need luck.
