If you do not re-evaluate your investing decisions, then you are likely going to make the same mistakes in the future
We all know that this message has truth. Yet it is difficult to apply to our own lives. I try to admit the mistakes I've made to myself. The purpose of admitting the mistakes is to find out why I made foolish choices - so that I will not make the same foolish choices in the future.
I advise people who have been foolish with AFFY to re-evaluate their decisions and overall strategy. If they can't do this, then they will suffer in the future as well. Thank you.
GC once mocked Longs and called us "Chumps." Now he takes another approach as he morphs into the "Gentle Basher" - offering us "reasonable" advice. Ah the voice of reason. He works for the very hedge funds that want to snap up shares cheap.
I lost everything (invested in the market) in 2008. I've made enough money that I'm playing with the houses money AND have pulled out more to pay for taxes than I ever put in...
Thanks but I've learned too and even if BK happened I'd bet I'd make money with AFFY. Just a hunch but I've done it many times. =)
PS I've never directly SHORTED a stock. Just used FAZ and stuff like that because YOU SHOULD NEVER risk what you can't lose and not have UNLIMITED loss possible with limited upside. Most a SHORT can make is 1.10 down from here, How much a SHORT can lose from here is a MUCH HIGHER %. ;-)
I hear you. I got killed previously but have re-evaluated and gotten smarter and fought my way all the way back.
I have read from people that they plan to make money off of this coming BK. I have never considered this. I'm interested to hear what your general strategy is on this. How can a retail guy make any money off of these BKs. My gut tells me to totally stay away from BK situations. I have considered EKDKQ but dismissed those thoughts.
