There was huge volume that day and it was a combination of squeezing the shorts and the hope that AFFY management would announce they had discovered the reason for the allergic reactions as well as deaths. The hope was they could come to a resolution before earnings announcement. When there was non forthcoming the stock fell apart again. The time factor and cash squeeze are working against them. I still have options but not supremely hopeful at this point.
It was a "Tweet" from a well respected Stock Geru who said Affy was headed back on the Market and that the Street is confused in thinking the allergic reaction was .20% when in reality it is .02 % with 1/3 rd. of .02% being fatal. (Which could have been avoided)
