Any idea on when these law firms will announce that they have no lead plaintiffs and are being dropped?
I am sure one or two will go forward with or without a lead plaintiff; but most of these types of lawsuits are simply spurred on by ambulance chasing trial attorneys. It's unlikely more than a couple have made it passed the April 29th deadline.
I know AFFY is pretty weak, with plenty of problems going forward, but I don't consider these lawsuits to be a part of the problem, only background chatter that has further depressed the stock price. It is unlikely that we will see any more press releases from the law firms which have not attracted enough angry stock holders to pursue class action against the company.
You might see a PR on Friday which states "Deadline Has Been Extended To Come Forward As A Lead Plaintiff". Of course that is speculation. The best thing for AFFY and Takeda to do now is complete their investigation as to why .00012% of patients died to the same allergic reaction you can get from peanuts.
