Mark this post... short positions cannot be carried into another exchange.... why you might say? One big reason is that brokerages must show all the shares held for an equity and balance it out short positions. It's supposed to be a 1:1 relationship... but in the real world, it's the case. Naked shorting is a disease is very clear that AFFY is affected by it.. watch and learn boys... brokerages do not have to call the short holder either, it's straight market covering action...
Sentiment: Strong Buy
Even in the case of forced buy in (happens all the time with this stock) it is easy to reestablish a new short position. By your thinking all long positions will have to be closed as well to "balance" Can also easily hedge or short via options. Do you have above an 8th grade education? That's a serious question . Not so complex subtleties are lost on the majority of this board.
Call your broker to make sure, not all broker doing the same thing so be careful what you saying. I asked TD Ameritrade clearly this morning. They said all depend on your broker, not everyone but not all the same. So make sure what you saying here.
