For original source history of Omontys (including FDA approval and voluntary recall)

Go to Takeda's website and enter Omontys in the search bar at the top right. For any new participants who want the story exactly as it played out...

    • max: as we stand watch for news and or indicators, would you expect Tekada insider buying, or option activity and volume before Atffy? Are you aware of any indirect indicators that we may infer news via Takeda or its partners as well, as Takeda has much to gain if even just for recouping its investment in O. Thanks

      • I think that this whole thing has been so professionally buttoned up (much to shareholder's frustration) that all activities leading up to announcement will be as contained to the maximum extent possible. This is exactly the kind of advice we gave and asked for strict enforcement by our clients UNLESS there were third parties that needed some "influence"...Even then information was tightly crafted and very carefully revealed.

My belief is the best (most timely) source will be Takeda's website News section which is summarized on home page...But it all will depend on how they all agree to release the update. Needless to say that whether good or bad, it will catch everyone completely off-guard. As you know I expect a retraction of the Omontys recall and believe it could come at virtually any point in time and before, during or after market hours. I can't imagine a definitive news release (either way) that doesn't cause a MASSIVE MOVE in share price. If you want to see a good example take a look at the opening price today on Questcor's (QCOR) news that they acquired the rights to the synthetic version of their drug Acthar. It then slowly moved down (still up significantly for the day) on profit taking. I don't know of any pre-indication of that news at all !!! Certainly don't expect either Takeda or Brenner to allow any "unintended" leaks.

PS. I go to the Takeda website before market, 1-2 x during the day and in the evening. Whole process for entire day takes 2-3 minutes to stay on top of news and also find correlary items of interest like I found today. Well worth the effort.
