Geez, GWP...Due Diligence is EXACTLY WHAT MERGER AND ACQUISITION INVESTMENT BANKERS SPEND MOST OF THEIR TIME ON...How could you NOT KNOW THAT? Only difference is that when I did this at GS and JPM I had teams of forensic accountants, accountants, financial analysts, attorneys (yes we had attorneys), health care and pharmaceutical scientists (for my group) and other industry specialists who came from our respective industries. On any given acquisitions or merger we would spend thousands and thousands of man hours digging and analyzing every possible issue (and opportunity) to develop a "deal book" and prospectus (proposals). With that knowledge in hand we actively participated in not just the negotiations between the parties but the development of the ultimate business arrangement.
But I am guessing that you believe that as an ambulance chasing attorney you have mastery over these processes that I simply couldn't possibly possess. And you think ANYONE HERE WOULD BELIEVE THAT AT ALL???
