There is no panic selling, even though the shorties were trying to generate that type of scenario, in every level there was a buying interest. When you try to buy they tend to move the price up (I witnessed it day before yesterday) so that unless you raise your bid, you won't get a fill.
Shorts have been continuously selling for the past 3 days and it is something they should be seriously worried, going into US long weekend. I won't be surprised if the short interest shows up 10 MLN +.
Except the last few minutes, there were lots of buying interest and there were no panic selling.
