Hi GeedoubleU, you might need to revise this post a bit
I can understand your confusion, a lot of people get this wrong. Can you see the problem below?
"First the number of adverse side effects reported for O by the Wall Street Journal: 12 patient deaths and 98 serious adverse events [AE]= 110 reported AEs for Omontys." geedoubleupee
"A total of 98 "adverse events" tied to the drug were reported to the FDA by Feb. 22 of this year,
the day before the recall. There were 12 deaths among the reports to the FDA, but the cause of
death wasn't specified, and the patients getting dialysis and Omontys are by definition already
very sick." WSJ
The "12 deaths among the reports" doesn't get added to the number of reports.
But to be fair we wouldn't want to leave the following sentence...
"Takeda said there were five deaths that the companies considered in deciding to recall Omontys lots on Feb. 23."
TAKEDA'S NUMBERS ARE 100% CONSISTENT with those provided by the FDA...and 2 of those 5 fatalities were quickly deemed due to "Other Causes"...WHAT A TOTAL FRAUDSTER GODWIN IS !!! Cherry picks, expands and DISTORTS!!!
